MESSAGE SUMMARY:
During this week’s Wednesday evening’s service, Rev. Stacy Macris Ros explored the spiritual lessons we can learn from the Cody Johnson song, “The Fall.”

Life is worth the ride—even with the falls. A full life isn’t one without mistakes, pain or disappointment; it’s one in which we embrace the whole experience—the beauty and the messiness—and allow it to deepen and expand us.

We are not our mistakes. Failure is part of being human. Rather than allowing our mistakes to define us, we can learn from them, grow stronger and keep moving forward. Every experience can become an opportunity for greater wisdom and spiritual growth.

Our feelings are messengers. Difficult emotions aren’t meant to be denied or pushed away. When we meet them with curiosity and compassion, they can reveal what needs our attention or healing. We can feel them, learn from them and then allow them to move through us.

Acceptance and letting go create freedom. Acceptance means ending the struggle with what is—or what has been. As we release old expectations, beliefs, relationships and grievances, we create space for greater peace, growth and new possibilities.

Forgiveness frees us from the weight of the past. Forgiving ourselves or others doesn’t mean approving of what happened. It means releasing the energetic ties that keep us bound to it, freeing us to live and love more fully in the present.

Every fall is an invitation to rise—and to choose love. Living fully means courageously embracing all of life: the highs and lows, laughter and tears, falling and rising. Through it all, love gives our lives meaning—and reminds us why the ride is always worth the fall.
