MESSAGE SUMMARY:
Today Rev. Richard Maraj wrapped up his three-week series on “Lessons from A Course in Miracles.”
“A Course in Miracles” teaches that life is a continual choice between fear and love—and that the greatest miracle is shifting our consciousness from fear to love. Throughout the series, Rev. Richard encouraged us to trust our inner guidance, release resistance to growth, take responsibility for our own happiness instead of blaming others, and remember that love multiplies as we freely give it away.
This week, he shared two final lessons for cultivating lasting inner peace.
1) Let Peace Replace All Fear Thoughts Today
Fear-based thinking robs us of the peace that is already within us. Rather than allowing worry, anger or judgment to take over, we can intentionally choose peace by:
- Being willing to let go, change, forgive and open our hearts.
- Quieting the mind through meditation so we can hear divine guidance.
- Remembering that peace is a choice we make with every thought.
- Interrupting fear with love by consciously shifting our focus to someone or something we love.
2) Only My Condemnation Injures Me
Much of our suffering comes from the judgments we hold against ourselves and others. We restore our peace by practicing:
- Compassion for ourselves and others, remembering we’re all learning and growing.
- Forgiveness, releasing the guilt, resentment and emotional burdens we’ve been carrying.
- Acceptance of what is, allowing us to move forward with greater freedom instead of resistance.
“A Course in Miracles” reminds us that spiritual transformation begins by retraining the mind to release fear and judgment, remove the blocks to love, and remember our oneness with God. As we choose love over fear, we naturally experience the peace that has always been within us.
