DESCRIPTION:Deadline to Purchase Tickets: Extended to Sunday\, Dec. 7\, 2025\nA joyous musical extravaganza with a legacy that continues to inspire. \nOne of our all-time favorite Unity of Phoenix soloists — Rusty Ferracane — stars as Scrooge in this story of redemption\, second chances\, and the power of human kindness. (We found out a bit late that Rusty was starring in this show\, so the best option for a good block of seats at an affordable price turned out to be a Monday evening. But that Monday is on December 22 … so we think it’s the perfect way to kick off Christmas week!) \nA Christmas Carol is a musical journey through the heart of one man’s transformation. On one fateful Christmas Eve\, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who guide him through his Past\, Present\, and Future\, leading him to discover the true spirit of Christmas. Featuring a stirring score by The Phoenix Theatre Company’s late Music Director\, Alan Ruch\, and direction by Matthew Wiener\, who helmed A Christmas Carol at Actors Theatre for 19 years\, this production continues a beloved holiday tradition. Celebrate nearly two decades of magic\, music\, and storytelling in this cherished classic! \nNOTE: The confirmation you receive when purchasing these tickets is NOT your ticket into the venue. Seasoned theatre aficionados and newcomers alike will find themselves doubled over at the astute observations and biting humor\, affectionately poking fun at the excesses and conventions of the art form we love. \nBeyond just a fast-paced laugh fest\, this vaudeville-esque experience offers thoughtful social commentary set to side-splitting musical parodies\, reminding us that even amidst the grandeur of the theatre’s most revered works\, there’s room for self-deprecating levity and a wink at our own theatrical extravagances. \nNote: Sorry! We couldn’t snag a matinee show because those performances were already mostly sold out\, causing ticket prices to be much higher. \nThese tickets are located in Rows G and H at the back of the Hardes Theatre. DESCRIPTION:We were going to take a break in January from our “Out and About” events\, but then we discovered that one of our favorite soloists\, Sally Jo Bannow\, was starring in Phoenix Theatre Company’s production of “Seussical” … and we knew we couldn’t miss it! \nSo please join Rev. Richard Maraj in the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss\, where you’ll embark on a musical adventure alongside the steadfast Horton the Elephant and an eccentric ensemble plucked from the iconic author and illustrator’s beloved tales. Let the infectious “Oh\, The Thinks You Can Think!” and other melodies sweep you through surreal dreamscapes where the unimagined come to life. Narrated by the mischievous and charismatic Cat in the Hat\, this Seussatrical celebration imparts wonderful lessons for all ages\, young and sage\, encouraging them to believe in themselves\, allow their imagination to run wild and free\, remain steadfastly true to their word\, and celebrate the special qualities that make each individual unique. \nThe seats we have reserved are in Rows 2-4 in the center aisle.
