DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, February 15th – Javelina Canyon and Ridgeline Loop Trail \nDate/Time: Saturday\, February 15\, 2025 Carpool from the Unity Church parking lot meeting at 8:00 a.m. (arrive 10 minutes early to check in).  We will meet at the trailhead by 8:45am and begin the hike at 9:00am. \nHike Leader: George Roundy\, please RSVP to groundy@ecorridor.com \nMap: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/arizona/sidewinder-and-ocotillo-trail-loop \nArea: South Mountain Preserve \nTrail Name: Javelina Canyon and Ridgeline Loop Trail \nDistance: 3.5 miles \nElevation Change: 587’ \nDifficulty: Moderate. \nAddress/Directions : From I-10 heading East\, take Baseline Road exit (Exit #155). Turn right on Baseline road and go 0.9 mi.  Turn left on 46th street and go 0.3 mi to the trailhead. \nHike Description: This loop trail starts from the Beverly Canyon Trailhead and follows the Javelina Canyon Trail which runs alongside a seasonal stream. At the intersection\, the trail then turns onto the Ridgeline Trail and heads back to the trailhead\, offering picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and south Phoenix. This is a multi-use trail that’s shared by both hikers and mountain bikers. \nDogs: Welcome on a leash \n
