We Support Our Community!

As a demonstration of the abundance of God, Unity of Phoenix Spiritual Center is a tithing ministry. This means that our organization tithes 10% of our total worship receipts (per our Statement of Activities).

Scripture instructs us to tithe to where we are spiritually fed: that which inspires us, teaches us, reminds us of the Truth and causes us to remember who we really are. With that in mind, a portion of our regular monthly tithe is divided between Unity organizations that support and spiritually feed our ministry on an ongoing basis: e.g., Unity Worldwide Ministries; the Southwest Unity Region and Silent Unity. We may also sometimes grant ministerial scholarships to Unity ministerial students out of this tithe.

The remainder of our monthly tithe is directed to nonprofit community/outreach organizations that spiritually feed our congregants and/or the greater community. How these funds are allocated is determined by our Senior Minister and the Tithing Committee, which reviews charitable organizations recommended by our congregants. The group also proactively researches organizations and interacts with many other congregants to learn about additional organizations that may spiritually feed the community.

You can make a recommendation to the Tithing Committee regarding a worthy charitable organization that spiritually feeds you/your community. We welcome congregant input and will lovingly consider your request.

Unity of Phoenix Tithing Recommendations
