Saturday, February 15th – Javelina Canyon and Ridgeline Loop Trail

Date/Time: Saturday, February 15, 2025 Carpool from the Unity Church parking lot meeting at 8:00 a.m. (arrive 10 minutes early to check in).  We will meet at the trailhead by 8:45am and begin the hike at 9:00am.

Trail Name: Javelina Canyon and Ridgeline Loop Trail

Distance: 3.5 miles

Elevation Change: 587’

Difficulty: Moderate.

Address/Directions : From I-10 heading East, take Baseline Road exit (Exit #155). Turn right on Baseline road and go 0.9 mi.  Turn left on 46th street and go 0.3 mi to the trailhead.

Hike Description: This loop trail starts from the Beverly Canyon Trailhead and follows the Javelina Canyon Trail which runs alongside a seasonal stream. At the intersection, the trail then turns onto the Ridgeline Trail and heads back to the trailhead, offering picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and south Phoenix. This is a multi-use trail that’s shared by both hikers and mountain bikers.
