DESCRIPTION:May 4 is our “Commitment Sunday” for our building fund campaign. That is when each of us will pledge our personal three-year commitment to financially support building a new Fellowship and Welcoming Center for our ministry. \nAs you think about your own financial commitment to this campaign\, we invite you into a process of prayer and discernment\, asking how Spirit is calling you to be a channel for helping us fulfill this fellowship vision. \nStep 1: REFLECTION. In a spirit of gratitude\, reflect on what this ministry means to you. Read through the brochure to understand all the reasons we are doing this campaign\, and how this fellowship center might positively impact you\, your loved ones and generations to come. To access the information on our website\, scan the QR code at the right. \nStep 2: VISUALIZATION. During this process — and until that building is up and finished — I ask that everyone spend time visualizing the fulfillment of this project\, and giving thanks for the fact that we are coming together as a community to put our principles of manifestation into practice. \nStep 3: PRAYERFUL DISCERNMENT. Take this decision into your prayer time to discern what commitment Spirit is guiding you to make. We are asking everyone to contribute to this campaign\, and to consider pledging 3% of their income over the next three years. But how much you give is a personal decision that depends on your own life situation and guidance. It may be higher than that; it may be a bit lower. Every gift\, regardless of size\, will be an important contribution to the campaign. \nStep 4: COMMITMENT. Fill out the pledge card with the amount you plan to give over the next three years and either mail it back to the church or drop it into the collection basket on or before Commitment Sunday\, May 4. (If you haven’t received a packet with a pledge card\, you can pick one up at our Reception Desk or at the Campaign Table in the Courtyard on Sunday mornings.) \nThank you so much in advance for your generosity. Richard Maraj will be hosting a Lunch Q&A where congregants can come to learn more about our plans for this exciting project! The dates of those meetings are: \nThe meeting will be held in the Fillmore Meeting Room (6/7) on the second floor of the Administration Building. A light lunch will be served. \nThe purpose of the meeting is to inform\, share\, discuss\, and provide ideas and feedback about the Fellowship and Welcome Center. To help bring that vision to life\, we will also share our initial conceptual photos of the new building. \nThis new space will help increase opportunities for congregants to chat\, visit\, connect\, create new friends and enjoy a greater feeling of community before and after services. We will also be able to use the space during the week for classes\, meetings and other activities. \nWe want all of our congregants to be fully informed about our plans for the new building and building fund campaign. The more we know\, the more excited we all will be … and the more motivated to engage in the process\, as well. They teach practical life skills to at-risk kids\, adults and seniors\, keeping them out of jail\, and improving their lives and community. There is a bit of highway noise along the trail\, but the landscapes are gorgeous\, making you almost forget how close to civilization you are. The terrain is quite rocky in some sections\, and it is advised to wear sturdy shoes. Turn north / right onto Castle Hot Springs Road. Drive to the end of the paved road and turn right onto Castle Creek Drive for the pay station at the NORTH ENTRANCE (DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE). There is a fee of $7 per vehicle or a Maricopa Pass. Turn right on Cottonwood Lane and follow (about ¼ mile) to the end for the parking lot and bathrooms on the right. Interestingly\, scientific research has shown that having a spiritual life protects us from mental illness! \nThis experiential workshop will explore how our connection with Spirit uplifts\, nourishes\, and supports us in maintaining our mental health. Participants will discover their innate wisdom\, connect to inner peace\, and create a plan of spiritual practices to nurture their deepening spirituality to support their mental health.

Stacy invites you to join her for an outreach day making a difference in our community! \nSt. Mary’s Food Bank\nEmergency Food Box Packing\nFriday\, Feb. 7 • 12:45-3 p.m.\n2831 North 31st Avenue\, Phoenix\, 85009\nYou MUST RSVP for this activity by filling out the form below no later than Monday\, Feb. 3 \nJoin Rev. Stacy Macris Ros to pack emergency food boxes that will be distributed throughout Arizona to families needing assistance! \nOrientation begins promptly at 12:45pm\, and the session will run until 3pm. Afterward\, for those who are interested\, we’ll try to gather at a nearby coffeehouse to wind down and share fellowship! \nAge requirement is 12 years with an adult and 16+ without an adult. Dress Code: Sneakers or boots only. No sandals\, flip flops\, crocs\, flats\, or any shoe with an exposed foot. All shirts must have a short or long sleeve (no tank tops). You are encouraged to leave belongings at home\, but lockers will be available if needed. There is plenty of water for our volunteers. No beverages other than water are allowed in the working areas.

Turn left to go back across I-17. At the stop sign\, turn right and then a quick left onto Warner Road. Follow the road to the white tank. There is a bathroom at the trailhead. \nHike Description: This out-and-back hike is on the well-maintained Black Canyon Trail as we descend to the Agua Fria River and then back on the same trail. Hiking poles are recommended. \nDogs: Not recommended
