This class will teach the history\, ideas\, beliefs and philosophies of the founders who formed the Unity stream of spiritual thought\, as well as an introduction to the concept of affirmative prayer and Unity’s “five-step prayer process.”

SUMMARY:Pack Food Boxes for 'Feed My Starving Children'
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, Sept. 27\, Noon-2pm\nWe wanted to celebrate the recent ordination of Rev. Amanda Sue Briggs — one of our congregants — with one of her favorite outreach activities: packing food boxes for the charity organization\, Feed My Starving Children. To help facilitate this event\, Unity of Phoenix is directing a portion of its monthly tithe ($2\,000) to cover 40 volunteer spots. \nBecause we have only 40 spots available\, you MUST RSVP to hold a spot. \nWe’ll be hand-packing rice\, soy\, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed\, boxed\, placed on pallets and shipped to incredible partners who distribute the food to children who need it around the world. \nThrough volunteering at FMSC\, you’ll get the chance to impact hundreds of kids in just two hours\, and experience what it’s like to make a tangible difference in the world. And you’ll have the chance to celebrate Rev. Amanda Sue in an extraordinary way.
