Descriptions of Ongoing Volunteer Roles

  • Worship Team Ushers and Greeters — Greet congregants; ushers also hand out newcomer packets, take the collection, and count people in their section.
  • Worship Team Sorters — Sort the collection into cash, checks and credit card payments at the end of service.
  • Seat Angels — Replenish materials in the Sanctuary seat backs each week at a time of your choosing (during church business hours).
  • Hospitality Counter — Serve coffee, water and, when applicable, cookies; we also need people to set up (including making coffee) and clean up.
  • Sunday Courtyard Setup or Take Down — Put the seat cushions on patio furniture before Sunday services and/or put them away after services are over.
  • Facilities Support on Sunday Mornings — Clean counters and walkways; blow away leaves and debris; help set up tables, chairs and sunshades.
  • Audio/Visual Team — Run cameras or PowerPoint slides in out A/V booth during Wednesday or Sunday services – we will train you!
  • Medical Response Team — We need doctors, nurses, paramedics and EMTs to be on call while they attend Sunday or Wednesday services to respond to any emergencies that might arise on campus.
  • Bookstore Helpers — Greet customers; provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service; assist in the sale of all Bookstore merchandise; keep all Bookstore displays straightened and in good order (Minimum six-month commitment required).
  • Youth & Family Classroom Leads and Helpers — Assist with preparing classrooms and greeting children, and leading or assisting with classroom curriculum.
  • Teen Classroom Sponsors — Create a safe environment for middle- or high-school teens as they explore their spiritual selves through meaningful discussions during Sunday classes.
  • Room Angels — Support our spiritual education class facilitators by organizing the room beforehand, performing sign-ins and cleaning up afterward
