Building Community - Connecting in Spirit
We invite you to join us on this exciting journey to build a new Fellowship and Welcome Center, a comfortable space where we can enjoy connection and community indoors. This project is an extension of Unity of Phoenix Spiritual Center’s commitment to ensure everyone who steps on our campus feels welcomed, inspired and supported.

Dream Big with Rev. Richard Maraj!
Envision what it will be like to have a comfortable, temperature-controlled Fellowship Center directly adjacent to our Courtyard where you can gather and connect with other congregants year round!
We Need Indoor Fellowship Space
We are blessed with a beautiful campus and courtyard where we can enjoy that kind of fellowship for many months out of the year. But when summer temperatures rise, the winter cold chills our bones, or the monsoons bring inclement weather, we have no place on campus to gather for the personal connection we crave.Uniting Hearts in Community
Recognizing this void, the board and I hired an architect to start sketching out drawings for a possible new indoor Fellowship and Welcome Center. Input from our congregants has helped us refine the plans, which include ample space for folks to sit and chat before and after services, as well as additional space for classes, meetings, small groups and other activities throughout the week. A project like this will most definitely support our congregants’ personal and spiritual growth. And it will certainly benefit us all! But with a price tag of $2.25-$2.5 million, it will also take all of us to pull off a miracle of this size.To make it happen, I’m asking each of you to prayerfully consider making a gift of 3% of your income each year for the next three years or a one-time gift of 3% of your assets.

A Thriving Future and Legacy of Love
Your support of this fundraising campaign is not just building a space-it is strengthening our community and creating a lasting legacy of love. Thank you for believing in this mission and for being an integral part of this journey. With your dedication, we are bringing this vision to life … and we could not do it without you! On behalf of our fundraising campaign team, I extend my deepest gratitude for your generosity, faith and commitment to our shared vision.

Fundraising Campaign Chair
A Welcoming Space for Connection
Your contributions, whether financial or through volunteer efforts, are essential in bringing this vision to life. With your help, we can create a space that reflects our shared values, supports our mission, and serves as a beacon of love, learning and connection for years to come.
What will the Fellowship Center offer?
An Indoor Community Gathering Space
Imagine a warm, inviting space where you can enjoy a cup of coffee with friends after service or have meaningful conversations with new faces. This area will serve as a hub of connection-a place where casual conversations can turn into lifelong friendships, and where we can strengthen relationships, deepen our personal journeys, and come together to grow in unity and understanding.A Home for Learning and Connection
We know that the deepest connections happen in small groups, so the Fellowhip Center will be designed to host a variety of activities, from community events and spiritual classes to small group meetings and workshops. Whether it’s meditation, book study, or creative activities, this space will be a home for learning and connection.A Welcoming Place for Newcomers
As more people seek spiritual nourishment and community, the Fellowship Center will double as a well-marked, easy-to-find Welcome Center that will allow newcomers to connect, feel supported, and discover all that Unity of Phoenix Spiritual Center has to offer. Welcoming all paths to God and making all people feel special and included is essential to our mission and long-term growth.A Potential Source for New Revenue
Though the primary motivation for building this new center is most definitely to benefit our current congregants, it will also expand our ability to host rental activities (such as wedding receptions, outside meetings and speaker events) that can help our bottom line. How much should you pledge?
We suggest giving 3% of your annual income for each of the next three years, or a one-time gift of 3% of your total assets. But how much you give is up to you! We ask that you prayerfully discern what this ministry means to you, and how this new Fellowship Center will positively affect your life. The chart below provides a reference for figuring your pledge as a percentage of your income.
Remember, whatever you decide to give, it should be in addition to the amount that you already regularly give to the church. We will still need to run our worship services and day-to-day operations, and pay for our mortgage, utilities, staffing, facilitites and other expenses!
