There are hundreds of ways to be involved in our ministry! And to ensure that your volunteering experience is as fulfilling as possible, we can work with you to identify an opportunity that fits your skills, interest, schedule, and especially the Spiritual Gifts that are uniquely yours. Stop by the Volunteer Table in the Courtyard and speak to Ken Akers!

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Share Your Talents/Gifts with Our Children on Birthday Sunday!
On the first Sunday of each month, our children gather together in “audience” style to celebrate that month’s birthdays and enjoy the gifts and talents of others. We’re seeking adults who are willing to share a special talent with our children for one day only ... at both 10 and 11:45 a.m.! Juggle, sing, tell a story ... just do your thing! If you’re interested, please fill out a form at the Youth & Family Ministry Table.

Face Painters Wanted!
We are seeking people who would be willing to serve as face painters at our upcoming “Easter Egg Hunt” on Saturday, April 3 from 10 to 11:30 p.m. If you are interested in sharing your artistic talents in this way, please sign up today at the Volunteer Table in the Courtyard!

Dia de la Mujer Spa Day at Palomino

Saturday, March 13

Help create a very special day for some very special mothers! We will celebrate Dia de la Mujer (or Women’s Day) for Palomino mothers by creating a “spa day”: painting nails, doing hand massages, and providing other invigorating activities, including energy work. We will also provide recreational activities for the children so that these much deserving mothers can truly relax. Sign up at the Volunteer Table in the Courtyard on Sunday.

We just wrapped up a four-week series on Service this past Sunday and — on behalf of our staff and ministerial team — I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge your service and contribution as a volunteer at Unity of Phoenix over this past year.

Please know that the gift of your time and talent has been a blessing to our community, and that we would not be the amazing ministry that we are without YOU! Peace Camp Will be June 7-11 This Year!

This week-long summer day camp for graduated kindergartners through 5th graders features lots of games, crafts, group-building and teamwork activities. The camp will run Monday-Friday, June 7-11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The theme will be “Birds of a Feather”; topics we’ll explore include basic human needs, safety and trust, love and belonging, self-esteem and self-actualization. Register early, as space is limited!

If you have completed our Unity Basics and Prayer Basics pre-requisite courses, the next step is to attend our New Member Orientation on March 14.

We offer our membership classes and orientations only two times each year. If you missed Prayer Basics and Unity Basics in January and February, look for them again in a few months!
